On Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. the Mecklenburg County School Board will hold a Special Called meeting at Central Office in Boydton. The Board will convene in open session to set up committees, hold the finance committee meeting, discuss laptop computer bids and the Superintendent search. A closed session will convene for possible legal and discipline matters.
The Board reserves the right to take any necessary action resulting from this closed session.
Immediately following the closed session, the Board will convene in open session to take action on any of the aforementioned items.
The meeting will be open to the public, but no public input will be heard at the meeting.

On Monday, February 15, 2010 the Mecklenburg County School Board meeting will be held at the Central Office in Boydton at 5:00 p.m. for the discussion of Section One: Bylaws and the First Reading of the Business Section policies. Following the discussion, the Board will meet in Executive Session.The Open Public Session will convene at 7:00 p.m.
Stephanie Carter and Remona Tomko, Technology Resource Teachers for Mecklenburg County Schools, were presenters at the Ed Tech 2010 Conference held at Randolph Macon College on February 4-5. The team presented a session entitled "Using Google Forms to Guide Your Instruction and to Make Data Driven Decisions" Over forty participants from school divisions througout the state attended the session. Brook Hatcher, Technology Resource Teacher, and Ernie Conner, Director of Technology also attended the conference.
